German defence major Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) is close to finalising the deal, estimated to be worth over $8 billion; the submarines are expected to be built primarily in India by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai, in collaboration with TKMS
