Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders across parties paid tribute to the martyrs of the 2001 Parliament attack on its December 13 anniversary. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Yogi Adityanath and Nitin Gadkari honoured the fallen, remembering the security personnel who sacrificed their lives defending the nation. On December 13, 2001, five heavily armed terrorists belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) stormed the Parliament complex in New Delhi and opened fire indiscriminately. Around 14 people, including security personnel and a civilian, were killed in the attack.
