Nepal flash flood: What triggered the deadly Himalayan disaster?
A devastating flash flood has struck Nepal’s Rasuwa district near the Tibet border, leaving at least eight people dead and hundreds reported missing. The disaster swept through the Bhote Koshi River basin, causing widespread destruction to villages, roads, bridges and major hydropower projects.
Authorities say hundreds of travellers are unaccounted for, including foreign tourists from several countries. Rescue teams, supported by helicopters and emergency personnel, are continuing search and evacuation operations across the affected region.
